For my card I used the My Favorite Things stamp sets Pretty Posieswith the Pretty PosiesDie-namicsand I Knead Youwith the I Knead You Die-namics. Looking at the CTD inspiration photo I wanted to use a floral set but also wanted something cute thrown in. I used a strip of polka dotted coral colored paper from the MFTDots & StripesSorbetpaper pack then added an embossed piece of kraft cardstock. Next I stamped, colored (with Copic markers) and die cut my floral images and cat along with theSingle Stitched Oval Die-namics Frame. For the inside of the frame, I blended on some melon berry ink and used the same ink for two of my flowers along with some tropical teal and rich razzelberry. After that I stamped my sentiment on a banner and adhered all my pieces down onto my card, popping up the largest coral flower with foam tape and gluing on some teal sequins.
Hi there! I'm up over on the Where Creativity Meets C9blog today sharing the card that I created and I hope you'll take to the time to pop over and check it out!
While you're there why not join in and play along with our current challenge?
For my card I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Fairy Friends along with the Fairy Friends Lawn Cuts. A month or so ago I sat and stamped a whole sheet of these fairies and flowers and colored them with Copic markers knowing I would use them on different cards. Well that's what I used for my card today. I'm lacking in the mojo department today, it might have something to do with staying up late last night and cleaning my basement and being tired, so it was nice to be able to reach for these stamped, colored and die cut pieces to put a card together today. For my background paper, I used the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaidpetite paper and matted it with brown cardstock. Then I die cut two circles, one from white cardstock and another from brown for the mat. I blended on some broken china distress ink on my white circle and then used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders to die cut my green hill. I added my fairy house, stone steps, flowers and popped up fairy to my circle and adhered it to my card along with my sentiment banner and flowers. As a finishing touch, I used my Wink of Stellaglitter brush and added glitter to the fairy's wings and all of the flowers.
Happy Sunday! Today is the last day for my Fall Fun series and I thought it would be fun to go back and share some of my favorite fall cards from the last few years.
Sooooo in no particular order...the first card above was created using the Papertrey Ink stamp set Simple Sunflower and the paper sunflower was cut out using my Silhouette machine.
The next card set with a fall theme were also created using a Papertrey Ink stamp set, last years anniversary set, Petite Pots.
The gift set above was created using the Papertrey Ink stamp set, Autumn Acorns.
Last fall I created a group of fun cards using the new Lawn Fawn stamp set Happy Harvest.
Above are three Halloween treat bags that were simple and fun to create using the Lawn Fawn stamp set, Spooktacular.
Last month I was privileged to be a Guest Designer over on the My Favorite Things blog and created a group of cards, the two I'm sharing now were two of my favorite fall themed cards using the stamp set, Fall Friends.
This last week during my Fall Fun Week, I shared a new group of cards using some cute Lawn Fawn stamp sets and I had such fun making these cards.
Thank you so much to those of you who followed along with my Fall Fun series this week! It's been Fun! :)
Hi there! It's Fall Fun Week - Day 5 and I'm here today to share another fall card that I've created!
The card I have for today was created using the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Twig Wreath and Paper Clippings: Thankful for You. I started out doing some watercoloring on a piece of watercolor paper using some wild honey and spiced marmalade distress ink and then mixing in a little bit of some metallic gold paint to give it a shimmer. Next I die cut and stamped my wreaths, leaves, wheat and berries in pumpkin pie, more mustard, cajun craze, kraft, close to cocoa and scarlet jewel. The So Thankful I die cut and stamped in enchanted evening ink. The bottom portion of my card is cajun craze cardstock and I tied on a piece of twine.
For my card today, I used the My Favorite Things Hello Die-namics along with the cute stamp setFall Friends and Fall Friends Die-namics and for my sentiment I used one of my favorites, Label Maker Sentiments. I wanted to do something different using the Hello Die-namics, so I decided to make my own designer paper to die cut my hello die. I used a variety of fall colored Copic markers to create a plaid pattern onto white cardstock (I would advise using a ruler to draw your Copic lines unlike what I did), I used the chiseled tip of the marker instead of the brush tip to make my lines. This could work where you could make any pattern and die cut the letters from, dots, squiggles you name it, it's fun! Once my hello letters where die cut, I die cut the letters again from a heaver weight white cardstock and glued them together. For the top portion of my card I used watercolor paper and blended on some wild honey distress ink. For the bottom portion of my card, I used the MFT Chevron Grid Stencil and stenciled on some canyon craze ink over canyon craze cardstock. For my horizontal strip I used some chocolate chip cardstock and die cut a portion of the Single Stitched Rectangle Frameand adhered it along the top of my strip. The fun finishing touches where to add my stamped, colored and die cut owl and leaves along with my friend sentiment. I also added some GlossyAccentsto the owls eyes as a little detail.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll pop in tomorrow for my next Fall Fun card!
Hello there! It's Fall Fun Day 3 and today I'm sharing the card I created for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!
In keeping with the whole fall theme, I used the colors from this week's CTD challenge but used very little of the gray and incorporated some neutral colors for the leaves. I knew I wanted to use this adorable My Favorite Things Jumping for JoyPure Innocence stamp set along with the coordinating Jumping for Joy Die-namicswith all of it's fall leaves.
I started out with a white card base, then adhered a piece of simply chartreuse and tropical teal cardstock together and I used the Split Chevron Cover-up Die-namics and instead of die cutting it out I embossed my cardstock. I think it gave some great added texture with a quilted look. Next I cut a white piece of cardstock and die cut a Single Stitched Rectangle Frame Die-namics along with a piece of acetate for my shaker. After that, I stamped and colored with Copic markers my cute Pure Innocence image and leaves and then die cut all my pieces. I adhered a few of the leaves onto the white background and let the rest of them along with some sequins loose in my shaker.
