Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  Today I'm sharing one of the Halloween treat bags that I created for my kids and for the Inkspirational Challenge.
I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Happy Haunting along with some PTI glassine bags, Halloween Prints Pattern paper and some Orange Zest Bitty Dot paper.  I cut a strip of the black star paper for down the center of my bag, then added a piece of the bitty dot which I cut into a banner.  Then, I die cut a circle of lavender lace and added my die cut and stamped ghost, sentiment banner and punched out star with black rhinestone.

I hope you have a frighteningly fun Halloween!

Happy Birthday

Hi there!  I'm popping in today to share a card that I created using the colors from The Card Concept Challenge #42.
I'm always in need of more birthday cards either to sell or to give so I used the colors and the roses from the inspiration photo as my guide along with the Papertrey Ink stamp set Graceful Greetings.  I started out with a espresso card base, then a panel of scarlet jewel and then my top panel of cream.  Using the cream colored card stock as my top panel gives this card almost an antique look about it.  I stamped my birthday sentiment in espresso, then cut a strip of scrap and masked out the stamped sentiment.  Once I had my mask in place, I randomly stamped the roses, flowers and stems in scarlet jewel, simply chartreuse, regal rose and pretty in pink.  To finish off my card, I die cut and stamped three roses and two stems and added them at the end of the sentiment and top left corner.  I also added tiny pearls scattered throughout the flowers.

Papertrey Ink October Blog Hop

Hello!  This is my second post for today so if you are looking for my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge post, please see the post below this.  Today is the Papertrey Ink October Blog Hop.  The inspiration for this month's hop is the photo below which is a box full of Christmas decorations.
I created two cards for this month's PTI hop, for the first one I drew inspiration from the stems that are attached to the tags from the inspiration photo above and created a wreath.  I used the new PTI stamp set Cup of Cheer along with the coordinating dies and the Rustic Wreath die as the base of the wreath.  I used the fantastic Holly Jolly sentiment from the Cup of Cheer set and my MISTI tool to stamp the sentiment in red and green onto white card stock.  The die cut my Rustic Wreath, then die cut and stamped my poinsettias, leaves and boughs and glue them onto the wreath, added foam tape to the back and adhered the decorated wreath it to the front of my card.  I also added a strip of PTI pure poppy designer paper along the bottom and added some yellow stickles to the center of the flowers.
For my second card I used the PTI stamp set Painted Poinsettias.  This is a beautiful stamp set with great details and sentiments.  I started out with a white card base, added a strip of red card stock and pure poppy striped paper, then stamped my sentiment and added my stamped and die cut poinsettias, layering and popping up the poinsettia at the top of my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the hop!

Happy Birthday Roses

Hi there!  It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets, The Sweet Life and Think Big Favorites #12 to create a birthday card.  I started out with a kraft card base, then added a panel of white and so saffron card stock.  Then I added a panel of designer paper from my stash and a die cut circle of kraft colored card stock.  I know the sketch shows the horizontal strip running behind the circle, but since my happy birthday sentiment wouldn't fit, I placed it on top.  Once that was all in place, I added my die cut and stamped roses with leaves.  I used so saffron and pumpkin pie ink on two of the roses and pumpkin pie and cajun craze on the other.

Thanks for stopping by!

Celebrating with You

Hi there!  It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Bloomers along with the coordinating dies to create a birthday card.  I started out with a white card base, then a panel of aqua mist and then a piece of watercolor paper that I sponged with lavender lace.  The colors I used for stamping are, royal velvet, aqua mist, tropical teal, hawaiian shores, limeade ice and simply chartreuse.  The largest flower was popped up using foam tape and I added a clear rhinestone in the center of each flower.

YOU!

Hello, crafty friends!  Today I have two cards that I created for a few different challenges.  For my first card I used the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge #272 for my layout and I wanted to participate in the Virginia's View Challenge #19 All Things Colored so I did some watercoloring on this card.
For both cards I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set All About You which is a set I haven't pulled out and used in a long time which is a shame because it's a great set.
For this card, I used a piece of watercolor paper and clear embossed the flowers and centers from the set, then used some picked raspberry, wild honey and spiced marmalade distress ink to watercolor the flowers and centers.  Then for the background, I watercolored in a little watered down hawaiian shores ink.  Once that was starting to dry but still damp I stamped off the leaves using more hawaiian shores ink and stamped them on my background.  I wanted the leaves to have a soft look, not a bold stamped look.  I used some summer sun ink to stamp my YOU on a strip of white card stock along with the happy birthday sentiment and adhered it to the from of my card.

For my next card, I used the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge for my layout and for both cards my inspiration was the CASology Challenge #168 which is all about YOU.
For this card I used a piece of white card stock and randomly stamped the flower image in black ink, and then used four different ink colors, hawaiian shores, limeade ice, raspberry fizz and summer sun to stamped the centers.  Then on a separate piece of white card stock, I stamped the YOU in three of the same colors and added the small flower from the set in the center of the middle YOU.  To balance my card, I heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black card stock and added that to the lower portion of my card.

That's it for me today, I'll be back tomorrow with my Sweet Sunday Sketch card.

Fall Florals

Hello!  It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Using this week's SSSC and the inspiration photo from this week's Fusion Challenge, I created a collection of three square cards.  I loved the watering can with all of the fall flowers and leaves in the inspiration photo and so I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Petite Pots on all three cards and the watering can from the Garden Variety set on my first card.
On all of the cards, I used scarlet jewel for the card bases and scraps of designer paper strips as my background.  I also die cut circles of watercolor paper and sponged so saffron ink in the centers for some soft color.  All of the flowers were die cut and stamped multiple times in the colors, scarlet jewel, royal velvet, simply chartreuse, aqua mist, summer sun, pumpkin pie and so saffron and most of the flower heads and pots have been popped up with foam tape.
That's it for me, thank you for your visit!
