After looking at the PTI inspiration photo above I decided to combine the color black with a tag (upper right hand corner of the photo) and use a die-cut negative for my numbers (bottom center) along with brightly colored flowers (upper left of photo). I used the PTI stamp sets Embroidered Blooms (love this set since embroidery and cross stitch were my first love before card making), Turning a New Leaf and Big Birthday Wishes. I took my cue from Nichole's beautiful card where she heat embossed on black cardstock on her background, I did the same on my card and really like the effect. On the pink background of the die-cut negative of the numbers I stamped the flowers from the Embroidered Blooms to add some texture and several pieces on my card were popped up using foam tape to give some dimension.
Wow! So pretty! Great job!
ReplyDeleteWhat great colors you chose; they really pop on the black. The composition is crowded, but it works PERFECTLY! The very thin pink surround adds greatly to its appeal.
ReplyDeleteYour fiend will love getting this beauty, and I will enjoy it again when I save a copy of this for inspiration's sake. Thanks for taking the time to share and enjoy your hopping.
