SSSC141 - Holiday Greetings

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC141).  Karen has another great sketch for us again this week to create with and we hope you'll join in and play along.

For my card I used the new Papertrey Ink stamp set Wonderful Words Holiday and the coordinating word dies (love new stamping supplies!).  I used some My Mind's Eye 12 Days of Christmas designer paper and used it not only for my background but to die cut the word "Holiday" which I popped up with foam tape.  The "Greeting" sentiment was stamped on a PTI banner then I added the polka dot embossed kiwi kiss panel some ribbon, a few scallops and my snowflake punched out using SU punch with button and pink twine.

To play along create a card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, then go to Karen’s blog The Sweetest Thing and link your card so we can all see your creation!

Be sure to visit each of the Sweet Sunday Stampers below for more samples using this week’s sketch!

TSG Day 3 - NO Peeking! Blog Hop Challenge

Welcome to day 3 of the There She Goes sneak peek blog hop challenge!
Kids love to countdown the days until Christmas is finally here and with this new set illustrated by Torico, you are going to have just as much fun creating a countdown advent calendar! With 25 different adorable holiday images and two sets of numbers the possibilities are endless! To make this set even more useable, there are two decorative circles and two decorative squares that were designed to be used with a 1 3/8” punch!!

No Peeking! is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 53 stamps and will sell for $24.
Instead of creating a card using the No Peeking! Christmas stamp set I decided to make up a few Christmas gift tags.  It was easy and fun!  I started out by stamping some of the decorative circles and squares and then a few of the cute images from the set to go inside of each of them.  There are so many great Christmas images to choose from in this set that that was the hardest part, picking which images to go with.  Once I did my stamping I colored all of the images with Copic markers, added some glitter and punched them out using my circle and square punches.  I cut the five tags to 2"x 3 1/4", stamped the snowflake from the set on a few of them, added strips of red and green card stock, a strip of doodle bug designer paper, a scallop border or two and a couple of snowflakes with rhinestones, tied on my ribbons and I was done.

Would you like to win the new No Peeking! stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday October 29th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

TSG Day 2 - Bon Appetit Blog Hop Challenge

(To view my Color Throwdown post for this week please see the post below this one).
Today we have another fabulous set from Torico - she's showing off her range of creativity.
Whip up some delicious greetings with the new Bon Appetit set!  From the succulent turkey to the steamin' hot pie, create some mouthwatering table settings and pass down secret family recipes for generations to come.  Compliments of Chef Torico!

Bon Appetit is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 31 stamps and will sell for $18.

Wait until you see this adorable stamp set!  There are so many possiblilties with this set, so many images and fun things you can create, you're going to love it!  For my card using Bon Appetit I used the cute chef and domed platter images along with the "What's cookin' good lookin'?" sentiment.  I stamped the images, colored them with Copic markers and then added some dimension by stamping the chef hat onto scrap cardstock, cutting it out and popping it up onto my main image.

CTD 165 - Hello Friend

Hello there hope your day is going well! It's time for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge (CTD165). Laura has some fresh colors for us this week, I love crisp clean look to this combination.
For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Think Big Favorites #3 and Bitty Bird along with some My Mind's Eye designer papers.  I combined the two stamp sets by first stamping the tree branch from the Bitty Bird set and then the "hello friend" sentiment from the Think Big Favorites #3 set on top of the branch and then added the little bird which was die cut and popped.  The clouds were punched out of white cardstock using the top portion of the SU cupcake punch and the border grass was die cut from a MFT die.

Hope you find time to play along!

TSG Day 1 - Friendbots/Autumn Blog Hop Challenge

Torico brings us the techno savvy stamp set that everyone needs.  We are living in an information age on an information planet so why not surprise your Friendbots with some automated cuteness.  Let's make it the age of interfacing with all your B.F.F.s!

Friendbots is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 5 stamps and will sell for $7.

For my Friendbots card I stamped the adorable robots image and had so much fun coloring it with my Copic markers.  I felt like a kid again as I was adding color to the cute buttons and gages.  And even though it's difficult to see from the pictures, once I was done coloring I added some Glaze pen to the eyes and a few of the gages and Spica glitter pen to some of the buttons.  I used some My Mind's Eye designer paper, ribbon and some brads to finish off my card.

The seasons are changing and it's time to add some rich colors and beautiful leaves to our paper crafting projects!  Autumn mini set has a bunch of different leaves, each with a fun pattern that you are going to love to use!

Autumn is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 13 stamps and will sell for $7
For the card I created using the new Autumn stamp set, I pull color from the designer paper I wanted to use and then randomly stamped the fall leaves in those colors.  I love the how each of the leaves from this stamp set have a textured pattern and that you have several different sized leaves to stamp and create with.

Would you like to win the new Autumn / Friendbots mini stamp sets? CTD164 - Happy Halloween

It's time for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge (CTD164).
Broni has some fun colors for us this week which immediately brought to mind Halloween when I saw them but I can't wait to see how everyone uses them.

For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Friendship Jar & Friendship Jar Fall Fillers along with some PTI Halloween designer paper.  After stamping and coloring this fun Halloween image with Copic markers I pulled inspiration from it and used the star designer paper and strips of pumpkin pie and rich razzleberry cardstock just like the witches stockings.  It's difficult to see from the photo above but I used Spica glitter pen on the swirls coming out of the jar and dazzling diamonds on all of the stars (see close up photo below).

Hope you find time to play along!

SSSC139 - Happy Haunting!

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC139).  Karen has a fun sketch using banners this week and we hope you'll find time to play along.

For my card I used the There She Goes stamp set Bugs & Hisses along with the Spider Web border die to create a little Halloween scene on my card.  There are so many cute Halloween images within the Bugs & Hisses stamp set that enable you to use each of the images alone or build a scene, it's great.  It's difficult to see from the photo but I colored in the windows of the haunted house and tree using Copic markers and added some Spica glitter pen.  Stamped the pumpkin separately and popped him up and punched out a circle in the center of a piece of scrap cardstock, placed it over my spooky tree and sponged in a yellow moon (see close up photo below).

Supplies: Bugs & Hisses, Spider Web border die, SU dp, Polka dot embossing folder, Build a banner dies - PTI, Copic markers, Circle punch, Spica glitter pen, Foam tape.  Colors: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie.

To play along create a card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, then go to Karen’s blog The Sweetest Thing and link your card so we can all see your creation!

Hello there hope your day is going well!  It's time for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge (CTD163).  Barb has some great colors for us this week, I love crisp clean look to this combination.
For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Iconic Images along with some My Mind's Eye designer papers.  For my main image I stamped the pitcher, stems and flowers and then stamped another pitcher with the medallion in the center on scrap, cut it out and popped it up for some dimension.

SSSC138 - Autumn Birthday Wishes

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC138).  Karen has given all of us a fun sketch to create with again this week.  To be honest when I first saw the sketch with it's diagonal stripes I cringed, but once I got going I actual found it gave a really nice quilted background look.  I ended up cutting the strips of my designer paper an 1 1/2" in width from a 6 x 6 paper pad, then I taped them to a sheet of computer paper cut to size, flipped it over and trimmed off the excess (super easy).
As you can see I flipped the sketch in order to use the PTI Garden Variety stamp set with coordinating die.  I also desperately wanted to do zig-zag stitching on the seams of my stripped background, but as much as I tried, my sewing machine wasn't having any part of it, it kept tearing holes into my designer paper and jamming (not good).

Supplies: Garden Variety + die, Year of Flowers Collection, Tiny Tags - PTI, MME dp, Seam binding, Button, Twine, Tag punch - SU, Copics, Small circle punch, Foam tape.  Colors: Chocolate Chip, Natural, Cajun Craze.
To play along create a card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, then go to Karen’s blog The Sweetest Thing and link your card so we can all see your creation!

Check out the pretty colors Tammy has chosen for this week's challenge (CTD162).  For my first card as a Color Throwdown Design Team Member I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set warm happiness along with some My Mind's Eye designer paper.
