SSSC71 - Birthday Contraband

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and don't go into shock but my card for the sketch is not Stampin' Up.  Yes I know contraband but I couldn't resist!  This card is for my daughter's birthday which is in June {fun I thought because of the Crown and Princess title considering I'm the Queen, lol}.  Her dress was stamped and paper pieced and she was colored with Copic markers and I used a Spica Glitter pen for the birthday candles.

Supplies: Pure Innocence MFT, K&Company DSP, Copics, Nestabilities, Prima flower, Gem, Ribbon, Spica Glitter pen, Scallop border punch, Piercer, Pop dots.  Colors: Pink Passion, Pumpkin Pie.

You Scream I Scream We All Scream for Ice Cream

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  Today I have one of the cards that I created for my stamp camp from last week, all four of the projects from my camp were birthday themed.  It always seem as though you can never have enough birthday cards on hand so we did two masculine and two feminine cards.
This Sweet Scoops stamp set that I used on this card is so fun to work with and I love all the possibilities with this set.  The top Pumpkin Pie ice cream scoop with the cherry on top was pre-stamped and cut out so that it could be popped up after stamping the cone and Melon Mambo scoop.

Supplies: Sweet Scoops, Perfect Details Texturz Plate, Scallop border punch, Ribbon, Pop dots.  Colors: Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

SSSC70 - Elements of Style

It's Sunday and time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  Karen has got an awesome sketch for all of us to play with this week, I'm lovin the squares down the side on this sketch.  For my card today I used the new stamp set Elements of Style which is from the Summer Mini Catalog.  I stamped the large floral image in black ink on white card stock and decided to highlight three sections of the flowers by punching them out with my square punch and water coloring them and then added some Dazzling Diamonds.

Supplies: Elements of Style, Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Square punches, Large Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Ticket Corner punch, Piercer, Sponge, Pop dots.  Colors: Basic Black, Old Olive, Cameo Coral.

SSSC68 - Sweet Scoops

Happy Mother's Day!!!  Today is Sunday which means it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  My blog post is late this morning due to the fact that I couldn't find the battery charger for my camera last night after finishing my card {frustrating}.  But surprise surprise I found it in with my 3 year olds Fisher Price Little People hidden in the back of his closet this morning {Happy Mother's Day, lol}.
Since my stash of birthday cards is dwindling down I decided to go with the Sweet Scoops stamp set and do something colorful with the ice cream cones.  The ice cream cones were stamped separate and pop dotted for some dimension and I went with faux stitching since my sewing machine is broken and added a few buttons for fun.

Supplies: Sweet Scoops, retired East Coast Prep DSP, Striped Ribbon, Buttons, Piercer, Pop dots.  Colors: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron.

SSSC67 - Masculine Birthday Card

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  Today's card using Karen's sketch was created for my brother since his birthday is this coming Wednesday.  I used the stamp sets Lovely As a Tree and the retired stamp set Wonderful Words.  I colored this tree image two times once with chalk and another time with an aqua brush and in the end decide I liked it best just stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.

Supplies: Lovely As a Tree, Wonderful Words, Sweet Pea DSP, Ribbon, Linen Thread, Circle punches, Brads, Pop dots.  Colors: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, So Saffron.

On a personal note, I haven't been blogging much lately because not only have I been getting over a bad cold/cough and have been chauffeuring my kids around to track, drivers training, dance class, preschool and every other place in between but I've started reading again.  Over the last three weeks I've read six books and now I've started reading the Outlander series which is really good.  So please be patient with me I will be sharing more projects very soon.
Thank you for your visit.
