SSSC66 - Elements of Style

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  Karen's got a fun sketch for us today so I hope you'll join in with the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers and give it a try.
My card for the sketch uses a new stamp set from the up coming Summer Mini Catalog Elements of Style.  I've had this set sitting on my desk for the last week or so after being able to pre-order it but this is the first its seen ink, I think this set has such a pretty vintage romantic look to it and I can't wait to create more projects using it.

Supplies: Elements of Style, Bella Toile, Bella Rose DSP, Nestie die, Eyelet border punch, Ribbon, Hole punch, Piercer, Pop dots, Sponge.  Colors: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette.

SSSC65 - Watercolor Trio

Happy Sunday morning to you!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  The card that I have for Karen's sketch uses the stamp stamp set Watercolor Trio which is from the Summer Mini Catalog that starts May 1.  I thought this set was so pretty when I first saw it with its soft leafy stems, butterfly and three greetings that I knew I had to have it.  I'm also using this card as my swap for the Control Freaks group that I belong to, this is my first time swapping cards with the group and I'm a little freaked about swapping with such talented women (I'm hoping they like my card).

Supplies: Watercolor Trio, Square Lattice Impressions Folder, Large Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Scallop Trim border punch, Ribbon, Piercer, Pop dots.  Colors: Old Olive, Riding Hood Red (so happy this color is coming back), So Saffron.

Good Sunday morning to you!  Today Karen has another great sketch for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #64.  For my card I was happy to be able to use the new Sweet Scoops stamp set from the up coming Summer Mini Catalog since I just received my pre-order.
I'm going to keep this short since my brain seems to still be on vacation from this last week.  My husband and I took our three kids to Florida were we stayed in Clearwater and went to Bush Gardens and Adventure Island water park.  We had a great time but I'm moving a little slow since we got home late Friday night.
Supplies: Sweet Scoops, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Ribbon, Scallop border punch, Piercer, Pop dots.  Colors: Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron.

Michigan Mingle - Flight of the Butterfly

This week I've been gone on vacation and before I left I scheduled some projects to share.  Today the projects I'm sharing are from the Michigan Mingle stamping weekend I went to a few weeks back.  I started out by picking a theme and colors to use and ran with it, for my swap card, name tag and the gifts.  The picture above shows my swap card and a milk carton carrier that I made as a gift for my friend Vicki who went with me.  We had so much fun, it was great to get away and have some girl time and stamping time with no kids.
I made 20 of these cards for the Stampin' Up only swap.
Supplies: Flight of the Butterfly, Whimsical Words, So Saffron DSP, Ribbon, Circle punches, Scallop Trim border punch, Butterfly punch, Corner Rounder punch, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Piercer, Pop dots.  Colors: Taken with Teal, Melon Mambo, So Saffron.
This was the name tag I made for the weekend using the Top Note Sizzix die.
These were the gifts that I created for the three women that organized the Michigan Mingle event (which has to be a huge job).  They do an awesome job each year putting everything together and making sure we all have fun.

Supplies for Milk Carton Carriers: Mini Milk Carton Sizzix die, Flight of the Butterfly, Ribbon, Circle punches, Scallop border punch, Trio Flower punch, Butterfly punch, Small Oval punch, Score Tape.

Thanks for your visit!

For All You Do

Hello, today I have the last project from my Stamp Camp from a few weeks ago.  This For All You Do stamp set is one of my favorites and I love it paired with the Cottage Wall designer paper.  For this card the flowers were stamped separately, cut out and applied after the stem was stamped.  Clear gems were added to the centers of the flowers and the petals were curled up to give them a little dimension.
Supplies: For All You Do, Best Yet, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Cottage Wall DSP, Scallop Trim border punch, Circle punches, Ribbon, Piercer, Gems, Pop dots.  Colors: Rich Razzleberry, Pale Plum, Certainly Celery.

Let's Get Scrappy Thank You

Today I have a card that I created for a sweet friend of mine using The Shabby Tea Room Challenge - Let's Get Scrappy.  The challenge is to use what ever scraps you have to create a card, so that's what I did but I also decided to try and give my card a shabby look to go along with the scraps I used.  I had so much fun making the shabby rose from the Easter card I made from my previous post that I wanted to create another and used the same layout as well.
I started out by using scraps of retired Bella Rose designer paper and punched some of the different patterns out using my square paper punch, then laid them out and glued them to a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Then I used my Sizzix Top Note die and cut the quilted piece out and sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip ink.  After cutting the quilted Top Note piece down around the scored edge I layered it onto another Chocolate Chip Top Note piece and added white stitching lines around the outside edge.  For the rose this time I used the Extra Large Fancy Flower punch but ended up feeding each punched piece through my crimper several times to give it texture and then sponged the edges with Riding Hood Red ink.
Supplies: Tiny Tags, Extra Large Fancy Flower punch, 5 Petal Flower punch, Jewlery Tag punch, Eyelet border punch, Bella Rose DSP, Square punch, Top Note die, Ribbon, Buttons, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, White pen, Crimper, Sponge.
