CC155

Here's another Sale-A-Bration card using today's color challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. Today's color challenge you were to use Basic Black and River Rock and I must say that its a very striking color combo. The flower on the main image was stamped twice with one cut out and placed on top of the other with a black brad. Since I don't have River Rock ink, I was surprised at how well Sahara Sand ink matched up to the RR card stock. I used an aqua brush to color the images and then used dazzling diamonds on the inside of the hearts and the bees wings.

Supplies: Merci, Much Appreciated, Print Pattern BG, Linen BG, Circle punches, Ticket corner punch, Ribbon, Brads, Dazzling diamonds, Piercer w/mat, Aqua brush, Pop dots. Colors: River Rock, Basic Black, Sahara Sand, Whisper White.

Wow two post in one day, you should only worry when you don't hear from me for a whole week, I might be trapped under something heavy so send help!

Oh Lucy!

Yesterday my friend Dawn sent this You Cheer Me Up Award, which was very nice of her to think of me and on the contrary she was the one to cheer me up by sending this award to me, so thank you Dawn! Now I would like to send this award onto a few bloggers that cheer me up when ever I visit their blogs:

Dawn from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts
Deborah from Sharing my Obsession
Jules from Need to Stamp

Thank you ladies :)

PS I love this episode of I Love Lucy, its a crack up!

Friendship Blooms

Over the last few days I've had the winter blah's and lost my mojo some were along the line. Do you ever have days were you cant keep a thought in your head long enough to concentrate on completing the task you set out to do? Lately I feel like I could be the poster child for ADD (attention deficit disorder), I start out doing one thing and end up working on 10 other projects but nothing ever gets done. Hopefully someone can relate to this and I'm not going crazy!

I made this card using a Sale-A-Bration set that one of my sweet customers gave me (isn't that nice) thank you Kathy! The large flower on this was stamped twice once on Regal Rose and cut out, then again with Apricot Appeal and punched out, then the whole flower was popped up with pop dots. The Apricot back ground was wheeled with the Swirly wheel, the Regal Rose piece was stamped with the Paisley background and pierced around the edges. A piece of advice to anyone that gets this stamp set, one of the stamps has three flower that come all together for one block, well I cut mine apart and mounted a flower on each end and on top of the block so that I could use the flowers separate like I did on this card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Bella Update

If you haven't been to the Stamping Bella web site within the last few days then you haven't seen the cute new stamps that Emily (owner of Stamping Bella) has released, including this adorable Oh so pretty Bella! There is also a party going on all this weekend into Monday over on the Stamping Bella forum on Splitcoast Stampers if you'd like to join in on the fun and if you place an order with Stamping Bella here is the official code for free shipping 133155. Bee Thoughtful

Its the weekend and you know what that means, it Beate's weekend sketch on her blog fresh & fun. This is my quick take on the sketch, I like the color combo of the Pixie Pink, Cool Caribbean and the black, its not a combo from the Stampin' Up color wheel of wonder that I usually rely on.
Here's a joke for you, what do bee's wear to the beach?
Bee-kinis! of course, ha ha ha.

Supplies: Bee Flowery - Stampendous, Absolutely Fabulous, Polka Dot BG - Stampin' Up, Photo corner punch, Scalloped square Nestabilities, Brads, Ribbon, Aqua brush, Dazzling Diamonds, Pop dots. Colors: Basic Black, Cool Caribbean, Pixie Pink, Whisper White.

Hope your having a good weekend :o)

A Beautiful Thing and Chit Chat

Today was a busy day, well OK the last few days have been busy days. I told myself (wow I do that a lot, talk to myself, scary) that I would try and take it easy since yesterday I felt like I was getting sick, just a sore throat and tired. No not me, that must mean that I need to clean, cause that's what I've been doing, washing my floors (the old fashion way, on your hands and knees) doing laundry, cleaning out cupboards, changing bed sheets, cooking and taking care of my little guy Connor of course. I'm feeling the need to get the heck out of the house lately, my husband FINALLY got his truck back after it being in the repair shop for a month, due to the accident he was in. You never realize how bad you want to go some were until you have no car to go in! DH has been using my van to go to work in, which leaves me stranded, luckily hes been coming home fairly early most days.

This card was another stamp camp card we did the other night. Its pretty simple, the back ground was wheeled with It's Beautiful using Versa Mark, the flowers on the center image were stamped off using Tempting Turquoise, then I used the small flower from the new Boho Blossom punch to punch out Pumpkin Pie flowers and added a circle of Purely Pomegranate with a TT brad. I pre-stamped the Old Olive flower and rough cut it for my ladies then added a small felt flower from the Flower Fusion set, then a green rhinestone brad. The saying was inked using my Stampin' Up markers then punched out with the large oval punch.

Thanks for looking!

CC154 - So Kind

Well another Stamp Camp has come and gone, tonight was a fun night with the ladies, what a great group! The card above was our last card for the night and actually it was a card I put together later today (nothing like working up to the last minute). I had planned on making coaster calendars with the stamp sets Mark the Date and Full Calendar instead of doing this card, except my Full Calendar stamp set was just delivered late today and I never would have made it. Splitcoast Stampers to the rescue, I used the colors from yesterday's color challenge and tried to made it work. The butterfly was stamped twice a with one cut out and just the body glued and yes the little gems are not Stampin' Up but I thought it gave the card a bit of bling.

Supplies: Priceless, Circle punches, Scalloped circle punch, Large oval punch, Designer label punch, Photo corner punch, Ribbon, Brads, SU markers, Piercer w/mat, Pop dots. Colors: Orchid Opulence, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White.

Thank for stopping by!

Good Luck

Now that Valentine's Day has come and gone, I'm moving onto the next holiday and trying to think spring even though I woke up this morning to snow and freezing rain :(.

I just love this new Bella stamp, I think the image is so adorable! The bad thing about when I post any of my Bella cards is that when I take a picture of them and load them onto my computer, I always have to edit the photo because they come out so dark (even with using a flash) and when I lighten up the picture it tends to wash out the coloring on the Bella (maybe its the old camara or probably user error). Its hard to see but some of the shamrocks have green glitter on them and this designer paper is glittery too. Its funny that when I was shopping for blog candy and looking for things that were green I picked up this sheet of designer paper (out of a whole rack of paper)and looked at the back only to see that it was called Pocket full of Green. Did I mention that who ever wins the blog candy from my last post also gets this card with a bunch of stamped images, including this new Goodluckabella?

Thanks for visiting today!

SC163

This card is for the sketch challenge over at splitcoast stampers, out of all of the challenges on splitcoast, I enjoy doing the sketch challenge the most because it seems to be the one challenge that gives some direction without telling me exactly what colors and style to use.
Since I just got this new Bella in the mail the other day, I decided that I'd ink her up and see what I could come up with for the sketch. So what do you think?

Supplies: Bubblebella, Take time for yourself - Stamping Bella, Seeing Spots- Stampin' Up, Prima paper flowers, Ribbon, Rhinestone brad, Copic markers, Icicle Stickles, Piercer w/mat, Pop dots. Colors: Orchid Opulence, So Saffron, Regal Rose, Whisper White.

PS Some time this weekend I'll be posting blog candy, so check back!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day and spent it with the ones they love! These are the sweet gifts I received today from my family, the roses and the mug filled with candles are from my hubby (he knows me so well). The stuffed animals are from the kids, along with Valentine cards from all of them, lucky me!

MIA

Sorry that I've been missing in action lately. Life has been crazier than usual, for the past two weeks I have been working on a project for the company that my brothers and I own and its very time consuming with no end in sight. The other project that I have been trying to start is my youngest son's scrapbook and since I haven't scrapbooked in a long time, I've been gathering papers and supplies and have been trying to get motivated to make his baby book. As a mother once you start scrabooking for your children you feel guilty as ever if you can't keep it up to date or make one for every child. In this case my two older children have several scrapbooks each and poor little Connor who is 16 months old tomorrow, doesn't even have one page (what a bad mother right?). Today was another busy day which started at 5:00am when Connor woke up and then got the other kids off to school, picked up my daughter at 10:00am to go to the orthodontist to have her braces put on (she was so excited to get them on, can you believe that?) then back home for lunch and then on to school to take her back for her Valentine party, were I helped kids frost cookies. Hopefully later tonight I will have something fun to post.
If you made it to the end of this, thanks for reading :)

Bright Bella Birthday Card

Well I can add this Partygirlabella to my wish list of Bellas that I'd like to get! This was a stamped image from when I used my friend Dawn's Bella stamps. Now that I've made a card with this Bella image I see how fun she is and I wish I had this one (whining). I'm using this card for Beate's weekend sketch challenge, I knew I wanted to use this Bella image for the sketch, but I didn't realize how large she was. Once I colored her and trimmed her down, I placed her on a standard sized card and she took up the whole front. So this card measures 6"x5 1/4", thats a pretty decent sized card. I really like the way this came out and would be happy to give this to a friend for her birthday.
Three of the balloons and the cupcake have been colored and cut out from a separate image, then popped up for dimension. I applied stickles to the Bella's party hat and cupcake and the whole Bella image is raised with more pop dots.

Supplies: Partygirlabella - Stamping Bella, Think Happy Thoughts, Dotted BG - Stampin' Up, Circle punches, Photo corner punch, Brads, Ribbon, Designer paper (an old piece from my stash), Stickles, Copic markers, Piercer w/mat, Pop dots. Colors: Brocade Blue, Green Galore, Summer Sun, Whisper White.

Here in Michigan it was a whopping 1 degrees outside today with high winds, I do love winter but not when its so cold you can't breath outside, brrrrr!

Thanks for visiting.

SC162

I'm going to have a hard time typing this because Lost is on TV and I'm getting sucked back into watching it as of last week. I stopped watching Lost last year because, lets face it I was totally lost with what was going on and now I'm trying to catch up.
Anyhoo, this card is for yesterday's sketch challenge on splitcoast stampers, I started making this card last night but didn't have a chance to finish it until tonight. Its hard some times to find the time to make cards or be creative, not that I'm complaining because I know that my family comes first and always will. My house may not always be spotless and I might not have a gourmet meal on the table at dinner every night, but one thing I can say is that I try and spend time with my kids. During the day when my two older children go off to school, its time for just Connor and I. My youngest son Connor is 15 months old (can't believe it) and I spend my day getting him dressed, brushing his teeth (he loves to brush his teeth, so funny), playing with him, reading him stories and eating together, he is so precious as well as my other two children. So when I stamp its usually during nap time (if the house is decent) or at night once the kids are in bed.
Sorry for all of the blabbering.
Supplies: Boho Backgrounds, Define Your Life, Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy embossing folder (something new), Circle punches, Scalloped circle punch, Square rhinestone brad, Ribbon, Piercer w/mat, Pot dots. Colors: Elegant Eggplant, Purely Pomegranate, More Mustard, Old Olive and Whisper White.

Warm Hugs

If you live in the north east, Warm Hugs is exactly what you need, that and some hot chocolate wouldn't hurt either. Earlier today it was sleeting which then turned into large slushy snowflakes and by rush hour it was horrible out. No dance class for my daughter Gabby tonight, it was cancelled along with any after school activites.

This Snowbunny Bella is perfect for the weather today. I wish all of you could see just how glittery this card is IRL, I used dazzling diamonds on her hood and any other fur trim and on the snowflake with the clear rhinestone brad.

Supplies: Snowbunnybella, Warm Hugs - Stamping Bella, The snowflake is from the Season of Joy Stampin' Up set, Swirly wheel, Ribbon, Linen BG (on the Soft Sky), Rhinestone brad, Dazzling Diamonds, Pop dots. Colors: Lavender Lace, Elegant Eggplant, Soft Sky and Whisper White.

If you're livin in a cold climate - think warm thoughts :o)

WSC33 & CC152

This is just a quick post before I hit the hay, its 11:33pm and I told myself that I was going to try and start getting to bed earlier (ya right). This card is for Beate's weekend sketch challenge and the color challenge over at splitcoast (I killed two birds with one stone, not that I'd ever kill a bird). Lately I've been feeling really run down and the past two day I've had a sore throat, I kind of feel like I wish I could be a bear and just go sleep in a cave for the rest of the winter. I'm going to have to put on some sun glasses and lay under my Ott light and pretend I'm on a tropical vacation.

Supplies: Priceless, Polka Dot BG, Swirly wheel, Itty Bitty BG, All in a Row, Fundamental Phrases, Word window punch, Ribbon, Flowers, Rhinestone brad, Black brads, Piercer w/mat and pop dots. Colors: Ballet Blue, Real Red, Apricot Appeal.

Thanks for looking!

The Last Two Pun Fun

OK, I think I'm all Pun Funned out, as much as I like cute its time for me to move onto another stamp set. These cards are the last two cards that I've made from this set and if youve been reading my blog you'd know that my mission was to make a card with every stamp in the box (mission completed). Hopefully I've challenged some of you to do the same, maybe pick a stamp set were you've only used one or two stamps in the box and make those cards girls!

The details: the You're a blast card up top I used my Canvas BG and stamped the Always Artichoke and used the Itty Bitty BG stamp on the Bashful Blue. I cut out the main part of the rocket ship and popped it up and then colored the whole image with my Watercolor Wonder crayons (I've forgotten how wonderful these crayons blend, thanks Nicole)and added some dazzling diamonds. This is a great color combo for a masculine card. The cat card to the right I stamped my Polka Dot BG on half the Certainly Celery along with the dotted scallop from All Scallops set and used my Nestabilities die for the cat image. I cut out the cats head and popped it up for more dimension and colored it with Rose Red.
PS Bloggers spell check isn't working and I'm the worst speller ever so forgive any mistakes please.

Shoe Box Swap Thank You

This was my card for today's Stampin' Up meeting that I had, we did a shoe box swap which means that you bring all of your supplies cut and ready to go in a shoe box and then all of us demonstrators move around the tables and make each others cards, kind of like musical chairs except you make cards too (and we don't play music). These meetings are always informative and fun and usually get your mind over flowing with Stampin' ideas. The card I made for the swap I thought was fairly simple, I didn't want to do any thing to complicated since there was only so much time to make everyones cards.

Supplies: A Little Bit of Happieness, Weathered BG, Slit punch, Taffeta ribbon, Linen thread, Eyelet. Colors: Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, Kraft, Sahara Sand. I used Stampin' Up watercolor wonder crayons to color the leaf image.
