CTD#253 - Thinking of You

Hi there friends!  I seem to be having technical difficulties in creating this post, between my old camera having wavy lines in it when I look through the lens, my photos all coming out with a dark grey tint to them and Blogger acting up again I'm thinking maybe this post wasn't meant to be.  BUT!  It is what it is, technical difficulties or not my card is done.
It's Wednesday and time for another Color Throwdown Challenge.  Wanda is our hostess for this week and she's picked out some fresh as a daisy colors for us to play with.
For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Simple Sunflower along Mini Blooms for my sentiment. I also used the Fusion Card Challenge #14 for my layout.

CTD#252 - You've Been So Kind

Hi there!  I'm popping in today to share my card for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge (even though I'm late with posting it).  Our hostess for this week's challenge is Tammy who chose this pretty color palette and inspiration photo.
For the card that I created, I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Ruby Rose and Every Day Button Bits for my sentiment.  I used the Retro Sketches Challenge #73 from last week for my layout and kept it clean and simple with an embossed background, some My Mind's Eye designer paper, a few die cut banners and flowers and a sprinkling of rhinestones.

SSSC#189 - Hello There

Good morning!  It's time for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #189.
For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Mini Blooms and Bigger Blooms along with the coordinating dies (love these sets).  I started out with a black card base, then added a white panel with a pink passion piece of cardstock that was stamped with the flowers on top of that.  My green gable die cut circle was embossed with the hexagon plate and the one pink passion flower with two leaves was die cut and popped.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Stampers have created:

SSSC#188/TPDC#191 - I'm So Grateful

Hello and happy Thursday!  Since I missed out on posting a card for the current Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge when it first came out, I decided to jump in and create a card using it today. Before I get to my card, I'd like to take the opportunity to welcome two new talented team members to our Sweet Sunday Sketch team.  Welcome Jodi Collins and Lisa Henke!!!

For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Rosie Posie with the coordinating dies and Signature Greetings for my sentiment.  The colors I used were Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss and Vanilla which were the closest colors I had to play along with The Play Date Cafe Challenge #191.
Thanks for visiting :)

CTD#251 - Thinking of You

Hi there! It's time for the Color Throwdown Challenge #251 and it's my turn as hostess to choose the colors and inspiration photo. I originally searched for ocean or beach colors thinking that they would be great colors for a summer time card or project, but in my search I found the photo below and really like the vivid blues and greens. I hope you'll take some time to play along with the challenge this week, we love to see what you create.
For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Beautiful Butterflies along with the coordinating butterfly die and the stamp set Bigger Blooms for my sentiment.

CTD#249 - Hi There!

Hello! The blog post I have for today is one that I originally had scheduled for last week but I've been having some blogger issues. I had this post scheduled for my Color Throwdown post, but I had it scheduled for the wrong day, so I went in to change the day and found that my post was all funky like it is today. I have no curser , can't move things around and can't add text unless I'm in the HTML area of my blog (fun stuff). Since I was leaving for a trip up north with family for the 4th of July I decided to leave my post until I came home hoping that it would magically fix itself...no such luck. So with that being said, if my post looks a bit "off" you know the reason why. Even though things are off with my blog I wanted to share my card using this week's colors for the CTD challenge which were chosen by Joan and to let all of you know that this Wednesday we will be celebrating the Color Throwdown's FIFTH ANNIVERSARY! There are over $400 worth of prizes being offered to random participants, and a GREAT color combo from Lori that I know you’re going to love! Mark your calendar!

For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Little Bitty Bird to create a clean and simple card. I also used last week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge for my layout.
