Hello and welcome to my blog!
I'm a wife of over 20 years to my supportive husband Dan and mother to our three children ages 18, 15 & 6. Rubber stamping and card making are my creative outlet and help to keep me sane but I also enjoy scrapbooking from time to time, reading historical fiction/historical romance novels and watercolor painting as well as spending time with family and friends. I hope you enjoy the projects I share here on my blog.
Hi there folks! Hope you're enjoying your weekend so far. It's Sunday and time for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. Using banners on cards is a hot thing right now and Karen has a great sketch with a banner for all of us to create with for the next two weeks.
For my card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Tea for Two Additions and Flower Fusion #9. I started out with a real red card base, added a brocade blue panel, then some Girls Paperie Kitch designer paper. I then added a horizontal plaid piece of the designer paper with a scallop border attached and on top of that a brocade blue banner and tied on my ribbon. For my image I popped up the blue teacup and red flower using foam tape and added a few small blue buttons to the lower right corner.
To play along create a card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, then go to Karen’s blogThe Sweetest Thingand link your card so we can all see your creation!
